About Alchemis
Alchemis is a new business agency for the marketing, communications and creative industries, offering a range of services to assist their clients grow their business and expand their client base.
Challenge
Alchemis utilises a range of technologies in the Cloud as part of their daily business operations with applications such as CRM being central to their ability to manage interactions on behalf of their clients.
AWS is key to their Cloud strategy, and Alchemis required a more granular view of their usage along with guidance around cost optimisation and future strategic direction.
Alchemis approached Ubertas Consulting to become their Cloud managed service partner, with the goals of spending less and getting more innovation by working with AWS and Ubertas Consulting.
Approach
Ubertas initially performed a Cloud optimisation consulting exercise to review the existing architecture and provide recommendations for improvement.
By selecting to migrate to Ubertas managed billing, Alchemis can take advantage of the Ubertas Consulting “MyCloud” platform which provides a range of analytics and optimisation recommendations.
The partnership with Ubertas Consulting allows Alchemis to focus on their core business, in the knowledge that they don’t have to worry about infrastructure or scaling.

As an authorised AWS Channel Reseller Ubertas took over control of the monthly billing including the provision of summary and detailed breakdowns presented in “MyCloud”.
Cost Optimisation
Ubertas “MyCloud” provides a real- time view of the AWS services deployed along with cost and sizing recommendations. This enables Alchemis to always ensure that the estate is right-sized.
Cloud Security
Ubertas performed a 10-point security check as part of the client on-boarding service. Security is continuously monitored in “MyCloud” with alerting to any potential threats or configuration issues.
